Position Description
The Application Developer is a member of the Computing team at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and works as part of a team that designs, develops, and maintains web-based applications that support the teaching, research, and administrative mission of SEAS.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
The primary focus of the Application Developer is writing, debugging, and reviewing code in collaboration with the other members of the development team. Additional responsibilities include attending meetings with users to determine needs and requirements, researching solutions to meet those requirements, and assisting with the deployment and maintenance of applications. Each developer on the team is also responsible for documenting and testing their work so that our applications can be effectively supported for the future. In some cases, individual developers will also be responsible for conducting training with end users to ensure familiarity with the systems.
